a song speaking to my soul
words that made their way to me recently
grief is a voice that always needs to speak. grief is subversive, surprising us as it rises with our other emotions. grief is a gift, an act of resistance, reminding us that we are still alive. grief is a necessary piece for us to feel whole in our soul. grief will lead to peace, eventually. it’s a life force that desires for us to be restored, leading us to the spacious place we’re all searching for. grief is a gift that asks us to free-fall into the future, trusting time to tell us what we really need on our journey to become more whole. when we listen to our grief, we discover what our words struggle to say.
i want to witness the love all around us. watch what nourishes our whole world. i want to savor the sweetness that’s here. appreciating what we already have here. i want to live each day anchored to our aliveness. living with what matters most in mind. choosing to show up in spaces that feel safe. letting go of what i’ve outgrown. trusting the transition to tend to what i’ve already witnessed within this world. believing our grief is a gateway to connection, belonging, and love makes it all the more meaningful.
presence through pictures

a blessing for our being
bless the quiet magic of our mundane, middle moments.
the silent swirl of hurt happening.
the ferocious flow of hope in hearing humans laugh.
bless the relief found from walking in the woods
and speaking with the trees.
the creativity that comes from connecting with friends
who’ve fought for their lives and now
fly freely through their days.
bless the wisdom in waiting for what seems so long,
and yet somehow shows us the sacredness of our quiet yes.
